The Mission of the Kokomo Police Department is to protect the rights of all persons within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal victimization, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace. Consistent with the values of a free society, it is the primary objective of the Kokomo Police Department to approach, as closely as possible, the ideal of a community free from crime and disorder. In so doing, the Department recognizes both the statutory and judicial limitations of the Department to legislate, to render legal judgements or to punish.
